IA Sells Induction Power Supplies from Leading Manufacturers
ROCHESTER NY: January 1, 2008 – Induction Atmospheres announced today that it will expand its range of products and services by offering induction power supplies for sale as individual components.
Induction power supplies are primary components of the turnkey induction heating systems IA builds for brazing, heat treating, welding, and many other applications. IA engineers, understanding that the power supply will have an enormous impact on the reliability and performance of the overall system, have researched and evaluated many different brands and models. Now they will share the results of that research with customers who need only a power supply and not an entire turnkey heating system.
"Lots of companies manufacture and sell power supplies," said IA President Steve Skewes. "The unique thing that we have to offer is our own unbiased induction heating expertise. We have no inventory to move and no single power supply brand to promote. We'll talk to our customers about their heating application and process requirements, and make a recommendation based on what we know has worked for us."
Among the power supplies initially offered for sale by IA are models by Ameritherm, Celes, and Precision Power and Technology, Inc. Output power ranges from 1 kW to 1 MW with operating frequency ranges from 1 kHz to 1 MHz. IA has prepared an interactive online power/frequency chart to help customers understand their power supply options.
